I received simply the sweetest email this morning – which is always a nice thing on an early Saturday morning when coffee has not quite kicked in – and it reminded me – I have a blog! Has it been awhile?
Dang. Its been awhile.
Where did April go? I spent A LOT of April getting Digital Freebies back on track. Let this be a lesson to EVERYONE. Even if you have a backup – do another backup – off site, in a safe, somewhere. We had two drives in a RAID array. Basically, that means we should have been covered. BUT human error. Aye! HUMAN ERROR. When re-installing our operating system (feel free to glaze over), BOTH drives were over-written – the backup wasn’t pulled and Digital Freebies was wiped absolutely clean. Like, outta the box. Talk about devastating!
The gals I work with, however, are amazing. Talk about the patience of Job. And it couldn’t have been a worse time. Server crashed the DAY I got DSL in my new house. THE DAY! My parents brought me a bottle of wine and as my brother set up my wireless network I wallowed a wee bit. Slept about 2 hours. Woke up at 2 am and whoosh. Game on.
It was probably the most difficult month that I can recall in my thus quite short life. It was That Bad.
BUT with all bad things there are good things, you know? You just have to see them. (That’s the tough part) Its like, you aren’t going to get dealt a complete shit hand. Someone is on the look out for you – really. Whether that be God or buddha or the cosmic forces that glue the universe together. Heck, it might just be Cupid and your daily horoscope. I claim no extraordinary knowledge.
I do know, that I am really, really lucky in the L.O.V.E. department. Like super lucky. Like dream up a bad month, and then dream up what you need to soothe your wounds and that’s what I have. Wow. AND I made a layout with my new kit to boot, so ya’ll can take a peek.
So this is what I’ve been up to – when I haven’t been working the site, dealing with d(ivorce) drama, or loving on my sweet kiddies….
The kit is “All I Need” –
its on sale for $4.54. Who hoo!
