(trying to rid you from my bones…)
I am listening to the Decemberists (they’ve grown on me…) and the lyrics make me think of gypsy musicians. I do not know what a gypsy musician is, I just know what I see in my head…I’m silly & visual like that…
So – the Decemberists, working on a site with Derek – thefringepress.com – Very Excited about it! A lil’ labour of love – Derek owned a club in LaGrande, OR and brought in amazing music – he has exquisite musical taste…sadly, the club closed at the end of ’07…but there is all of this MUSIC to share – and we wanted a project together – thus – The Fringe Press.
I’m also slightly stressing about my now totaled Honda. I do believe that car was cursed from the very beginning. It had been hit – hmm…Let’s see – five times?
The first time it was hit it was parked in front of my house – someone side swiped it, didn’t leave a note, etc. $2,000 later – yeah for good insurance – it was all good.
A few months pass. Neighbor throw a rock into the windshield while mowing their lawn of rocks with grass accents. Sigh.
Then the Big Accident – rear-ended on 16th Avenue – ugh. But the trunk and bumper were replaced and once again, thank you for good insurance Mr. Whomever Hit Me.
Then the gas station in Benton City. Big truck backs into me while I’m sitting in a parking lot. He heard the sound go off when he backed up but didn’t see me, so kept backing up. DOOD! Isn’t that what the lil’ sounds is FOR???
Later that week, while sitting IN MY DRIVEWAY a car pulled onto my street, pulled into the driveway across the street, attempted a three point turn and backed right into me. IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY. He then said “are we cool?” and while I started to answer, drove off.
And then…The Major Crash of 2008.
So yeah. Cursed and now, put to bed. Seven years, 78K miles, and a full tank of gas.
Photos soon. No one was injured.
Amazing and well, all that matters. That and putting to bed a cursed purple Honda.
