The grass and the sky are glowing, soft filtered gray (or is it grey? or does it matter?) and green – left over from the rain last night, the sprinkle this afternoon, the rain – pending.
Ruby is tired and a bit snarky but has Company – in the form of Gracie – one of her Very Best Friends EVER. I love that every friend can be Ruby’s Very Best Friend EVER – she is very equal opportunity. They’ve been playing for about 3 hours which means they are now at that level of exhausted that encourages all sorts of bad choices. Like the red tub on your head. Doh! It’s so heavy it tipped Ruby over. And hey – does Ruby fit in the oven of her little kitchen? Let’s check it out!
Sigh. But they are safe and having fun and completely free.
My dryer heard that Mr. George W. Bush was sending out checks and decided to take a permanent vacation today. Of course, it waited until it was plumb full of very wet towels AND the sky began to cloud over. Timing is everything. So much for that Nikon D80 I wanted. (As if I ought to be splurging on anything…economy to hades, I need to save money!)
New club kits are out for May – A Sunday Smile (named for one of my favorite songs this year, recently, etc. by a lil’ group called Beirut). Of course, a Sunday smile is also a simply fabulous thing in and of itself, song or no song.
Today has been a quiet day…it slipped in softly and has yet to make its presence known with any sort of force.
A very good thing.
